Bringing the limitless potential of
Sanskrit to the world

Centuries of teaching, chanting and scholarship sit locked inside audio recordings that almost nobody can search, quote or read. Anuvaad listens to them and gives you back the words — in Devanagari, and in English.

सह नाववतु, सह नौ भुनक्तु “May we be protected together, may we be nourished together.”

Three problems, one pass

Anuvaad does not just transcribe. Each recording moves through a pipeline built specifically for Sanskrit material.

श्रु

It hears the recording

Audio or video is split into short segments and transcribed into Devanagari by a speech model tuned for Indian languages — lectures, discourses, classes.

शुद्

It recognises the verses

Transcripts are matched against a corpus of known shlokas and mantras. When a verse is recognised, the canonical Sanskrit replaces the approximation.

अनु

It carries the meaning

Each segment is translated into English with a Sanskrit glossary, so terms like dharma, atman and moksha keep their weight instead of flattening into approximations.

How to use Anuvaad

Anuvaad listens and writes it down

The recording is split into 30-second segments and each one is transcribed into Devanagari, with timestamps kept so every line stays anchored to the moment it was spoken.

You can cap how many segments to process — useful for sampling a long recording before committing to the whole thing.

Verses are recognised, meaning is carried over

Each line is checked against a corpus of known shlokas and mantras. A recognised verse is restored to its canonical form and clearly marked; anything unrecognised is passed through honestly rather than invented. Then it is translated into English.

Every line tells you whether it was matched to a known verse or left as heard — so you always know what to trust.

Download it as a document

Take the finished transcript away as a PDF or a Word file, with the Devanagari typeset properly — ready to circulate, archive, quote or edit further.

Word files stay fully editable, so scholars can refine a translation without starting over.

What you get back

Every segment, three ways — so you can check the machine's work instead of trusting it blindly.
